TreeTop House is a great place to relax in peace and enjoy your holiday or you can use the house as a base to visit
all of the wonderful things Dunedin has to offer.
Just down the road is the Royal Albatross Colony and if you are very lucky you may be fortunate enough to see one flying
just above the water.
Around the corner you will see the rare Yellow Eyed Penguin. Sometimes they come so close you can kiss them (a friend
once kissed a penguin chick!)
There is the seal colony where the lazy seals lay on the beach basking in the sun right next to sunbathers but don't
get too close, these are wild animals and don't be fooled they can and will out run you!
At the end of the road, behind the shops, you will find the gate that will lead you to the Aquarium where you can find
all sorts of strange sea creatures. The Aquarium has a touch pool if you are very adventurous?
It is only a short drive back into the city where Dunedin has a charm all of it's own. Dunedin is renowned for it's turn
of the century architecture and a good example of this can be found just a few steps from the octagon. The Otago Train Station
has the best mosaic tiles to be found in New Zealand.
A five minute drive will take you to the world's most steepest street where you can take on the challenge to walk to
the top.
Traveling north from Dunedin will take you past a beach that has giant round boulders just lying on the beach. It is
worth stopping to see this amazing sight, or travel south to the magestic Catlands.
Three hours drive inland can take you to some of the best skiing to be found in this part of the world and to Queenstown,
New Zealand's adventure playground!
